WHO WE ARE
The Force is a world-class, non-profit community-based Display Team of Champion Drum Majors, performing at prestigious military musical tattoos, festivals and events across the globe — redefining what audiences expect from a drum major performance.
Constituted as a community group and driven by a passion for the art form, The Force exists to transform how the world experiences drum majors. Moving beyond the familiar military tradition, The Force brings a bold, contemporary and electrifying performance style to audiences who have never seen anything quite like it.
Founded and led by Senior Drum Major Paula Braiden — the most decorated and sought-after Drum Major in the World — The Force brings together an extraordinary ensemble of World, European, British, UK, Scottish, All Ireland and Ulster Champions. The result is a performance team unlike any other.
Paula provides exceptional dual expertise — not only as a World-renowned performer at international military tattoos, but as a producer and co-producer of these events, serving as Senior Drum Major for Massed Pipes and Drums.

Alongside its performance work, The Force operates The Force Academy — providing world-class Drum Major tuition to students both within the UK and internationally, delivered either in-person or online.
The Force Academy consists of multiple tutors and between them, have produced seven World Champion Drum Majors and over sixty other major championship titles, a testament to the exceptional standard of coaching on offer.
